How Teknolog LLC collects, uses, and protects personal data when you use teknologcloud.com and our hosting services—including GDPR (EEA/UK) and KVKK (Türkiye) notices.
This page is available in English, Turkish, and Bulgarian. Switch language from the site menu.
At Teknolog LLC (“Teknolog LLC”, “we”, “us”), we are committed to protecting your personal data in accordance with applicable laws. This Privacy Policy applies to personal data processed in connection with our web hosting, cloud, VPS, domain registration, and related services offered through www.teknologcloud.com (the “Site”) and our billing and client account area at client.teknologcloud.com.
Depending on where you live, additional rules may apply. This Policy includes specific information for individuals in the European Economic Area, Switzerland, and the United Kingdom under the General Data Protection Regulation (“GDPR”) and the UK GDPR, and for individuals in Türkiye under the Law on the Protection of Personal Data No. 6698 (“KVKK”).
Definitions
- “Teknolog LLC” refers to Teknolog LLC, the provider of the services described on the Site.
- “Policy” means this Privacy Policy.
- “Services” means hosting, domains, email hosting, and related technical services ordered via the Site or our client area.
Personal data we collect
When you use our Services, create an account, contact us, or complete a purchase, we may collect:
- Identity and contact data: name, company name, email address, postal address, telephone number.
- Account and billing data: order history, subscription details, payment method type (card payments are processed by payment processors; we do not store full card numbers on our servers), invoices, and tax identifiers where required.
- Technical and usage data: IP address, browser type, device information, cookies and similar technologies, server and access logs, and aggregated analytics about use of the Site.
- Support and communications: messages you send via contact forms, tickets, live chat, or email, including attachments you choose to provide.
- Content you host: data you upload to servers under your control (e.g. website files, databases). We process such data only to provide the Services and as described in our Terms & Conditions, not for unrelated profiling.
How we collect your data
- Directly from you when you register, place an order, pay, or contact us.
- Automatically when you browse the Site or use the Services (logs, cookies, security monitoring).
- From partners where necessary to deliver the Services (e.g. domain registries, payment providers, fraud prevention), and only where permitted by law or contract.
Purposes and legal bases for processing
We process personal data to:
- Perform our contract with you — provision of hosting, domains, invoicing, support, and account management.
- Operate and secure our business — network security, abuse prevention, backups, troubleshooting, and service improvement.
- Comply with legal obligations — tax, accounting, and lawful requests from competent authorities.
- Legitimate interests — where balanced against your rights, e.g. analytics, product development, and direct marketing to existing customers about similar services (you may opt out where required).
- Consent — where we rely on consent (e.g. certain cookies or marketing), you may withdraw it at any time.
Sharing of personal data
We may share data with:
- Service providers who assist with hosting infrastructure, payment processing, email delivery, analytics, and customer support tools, under appropriate contracts and safeguards (including data processing agreements where required).
- Registries and certification authorities as required for domain registration and SSL issuance.
- Authorities when required by law or to protect rights, safety, and integrity of our network and customers.
- Successors in the event of a merger, acquisition, or asset sale, subject to this Policy or equivalent protections.
We do not sell your personal data to third parties for their independent marketing.
International transfers
Your data may be processed in the United States and other countries where we or our subprocessors operate. Where GDPR or UK GDPR applies, we use appropriate mechanisms—such as the EU Commission Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs), the UK International Data Transfer Agreement (IDTA) or Addendum, or other approved safeguards—when transferring personal data outside the EEA, Switzerland, or the UK.
Retention
We keep personal data only as long as needed for the purposes above, including statutory retention periods for billing and tax records, and thereafter delete or anonymize it where possible.
Security
We implement technical and organizational measures appropriate to the risk, including encryption in transit where applicable, access controls, monitoring, and staff training. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure; we encourage strong passwords and two-factor authentication where offered.
Your rights (general)
Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, rectify, erase, restrict processing, object, data portability, and to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. To exercise these rights or ask questions about your data, contact us at [email protected] or via our Contact us page.
Cookies
We use cookies and similar technologies for essential site operation, preferences, analytics, and security. You can control cookies through your browser settings; disabling some cookies may limit Site functionality.
Children
Our Services are not directed at children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children.
Updates to this Policy
We may update this Policy to reflect legal, technical, or business changes. The revised version will be posted on the Site with an updated effective date. Material changes may be communicated by email or notice in the client area where appropriate.
